Part 3

After finding Toothpick gone, Tennessee started heading back to the safehouse he had been occupying since Sly had broken him out of the prison. Galleth followed close behind, seemingly irritated, and had no trouble expressing it once they were inside.

"Should we not be going after them?" Galleth inquired. "They could be halfway to anywhere by the hour!"

"Relax." Tennessee told him. "I doubt they would'a busted out old Toothpick if they were in a rush to mosey on out of here. I'd say they're pretty much stuck."

"But the tyrant could very well be in hiding anywhere in the land!" Galleth argued. "If we don't locate them, they could strike against thou and I first! It's clear their goal is against us!"

"Hey. Hombre." Tennessee started calmly. "I understand you wantin to get this taken care of, believe me. Toothpick's a danger to just 'bout everyone in Cottonmouth Canyon. And this 'Tyrant' a yours sounds like a barrel of dynamite just waitin to explode. But we're still havin us the advantage."

"What cards hast thou up thine sleeve that thou art not concerned?" Galleth asked curiously.

Tennessee smirked up at him and put both of Toothpick's guns on the table.

"Both a these belong to that crooked armadilla that's done been broke out." He informed. "He took my gun, I took both of his. Trust me, without these, he ain't gonna be able to do much. On top a that, that girl you been chasin around has no idea how to get around these parts or where the best places to hide are. Way I see it, that's the sole reason she'd bust out Toothpick."

"And where is all this going, Sir Tennessee?" Galleth interrupted.

"Mighty kind a ya to ask." Tennessee responded with a grin. "Where this is all goin is that there's only a couple places Toothpick knows here to hide."

He picks up a small dart and throws it at a map of Cottonmouth Canyon, hitting right on the location of the sheriff station, then tosses another at the large jail where he was kept before.

"He mainly goes back and forth from the station to the prison. It's likely both of them are holed up either in the prison to build it up like a fort, or hidin in the sheriff's station, maybe even directly in the little hole where he hid all his gold."

"Then we must sally forth to these locations forthwith!" Galleth exclaimed, charging toward the door.

"Whoa, Amigo!" Tennessee yelled, pulling Galleth back by his armor just as he was a step away from the door. "You're more eager than a rattlesnake on caffeine. S'not bad, but if we go stampedin after them, they'll take off faster than a horse with eight legs. Iffin we wanna catch em, we gotta find out what they're up to first."

Galleth sighed and sat back in one of the chairs.

"You make a good point, sir." He admitted. "But the query remains, how dost thou plan to do so?"

"Well, it's gonna involve a little bit a lyin low." Tennessee told him. "So, ya might wanna find somethin other than that spiffy lookin trashcan, partner."

"Trashcan?! Good sir! This is the armor of a knight and I wear it proudly!"

"Ok, ok, Simmer down. Didn't mean nothin by it. But, uh...you 'wear it proudly' around here, you're gonna stick out like a coyote with an extra eye. What we gotta do is get some disguises and sneak in to listen in on em."

"You have something that could work?"

"As a matter of fact," Tennessee started, grinning deviously. "I just might."
Don'cha just love how Galleth likes to rush into a fight? XD He's so hyper.
